Circular Economy

In 2018m Recovery Insulation become a partner in the ReTraCE Project (Realising the Transition to the Circular Economy: Model, Methods and Applications).

Recovery Insulation fully addresses the economic and supply chain implications in the implementation of Circular Economy initiatives in the manufacture of our natural fibre recylced cotton insulation.

A circular economy is an alternative to a traditional linear economy (make, use, dispose) in which we keep resources in use for as long as possible, extract the maximum value from them whilst in use, then recover and regenerate products and materials at end of each service life.

The shift from linear to circular pathways involves a systemic transition and, as such, calls for adequate tools for carefully identifying, monitoring, estimating and evaluating all visible and hidden benefits and impacts, generated at environmental, economic and social levels.
